about Senzapari

The Senzapari family of cats is varied. Some are included in a breeding programme, some take part in shows, some do neither and some do both! What they all have in common is that they are my pets, first and foremost

The name Senzapari has been created from the Italian words senza, meaning without, and pari, meaning equal. Of course in my opinion all my cats are indeed without equal! In keeping with the Italian theme, all the kittens I breed are given Italian pedigree names.

I'm Marjory Pidd and these are some of my cats and kittens

I live in a North Lincolnshire village which is easy to access from the M18, M180, M62, A18 & A614.

My cattery incorporates protection from the elements, heated sleeping quarters, climbing perches, and play areas around a cherry tree.  It is connected to the house so that most of the cats can access it at will.

The stud boys have their own separate quarters within sight and sound of the other cats and my family. A rural aspect offers all the cats hours of interest and amusement – they are expert bird watchers!

My breeding girls are wonderful mothers but they have no more than 1 litter per year, which gives them plenty of time to regain their strength and condition after the rigours of pregnancy and nursing babies.

I enjoy entering my cats in championship shows, primarily to meet up with and exchange news with other exhibitors and breeders. Of course I also enjoy showing off my beautiful cats to any admirers! I only exhibit those cats that are comfortable with the whole experience. Some much prefer to be ‘home bodies’.

As a registered breeder member of The British Ragdoll Cat Club, I am required to abide by a written code of ethics and maintain the highest standards of practice in the care, management and breeding of my cats. In addition, I am required to update my knowledge of the Ragdoll breed and my competence as a breeder by attending relevant seminars.

Registration of all my cats with the Governing Council of the Cat Fancy (GCCF) ensures that their pedigrees are accurately recorded and maintained and that transfer of ownership is carried out correctly. The GCCF also approves standards for the shows in which my cats are entered.
